Civil War Nurses Who are Buried in Nebraska
This page is under construction and hopefully will be for some time, as more information is being sought. If you have any information on Nebraska nurses to add, please contact Nebraska Department DUVCW President.
Two recent Past Department Presidents of the Nebraska DUV have had WIMSA as their projects. Their goal has been to see that as many Civil War women who are buried in Nebraska as can be found, are registered in the “Women in Military Service for America” Memorial. This memorial is located at the entrance of Arlington National Cemetery and was dedicated Oct. 18, 1997.
The intent of WIMSA is to recognize women of all wars, from the Revolution to the present. http://www.womensmemorial.org/ WIMSA’s
