Birth: Wilmington, Clinton Co., Ohio, Farmer, Enlisted at Princeton, IL, age 23, Farmer, in Company K, 93rd Illinois Infantry. Transferred July 16, 1864 to Non Com Staff as Sergeant Major, Mustered out Louisville, KY. He was elected Department Commander of Nebraska G.A.R. in 1912. Appointed Adjutant General of the G.A.R. 1918-1919 when the National Headquarters was established in Lincoln, NE during the tenure of C.E. Adams was serving as Commander in Chief.
